"Does it hurt? asked the rabbit. 'Sometimes' said the horse, for he was always truthful 'when you are real, you don't mind being hurt'
'Does it happen all at once, like being wound up?' he asked ' or bit by bit?'
'It doesnt happen all at once' said the skin horse, 'you become. It takes a very long time. Thats why it doesnt happen to people who break easily or who have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally by the time you are real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand".

"We are all meant to shine as children do
We are born to manifest the glory that is within us
It is not just in some of us
it is in everyone
And as we let our light shine
we unconciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically releases others"

"Life is like a puddle
You can either stand in it and complain that you are getting wet
or you can put on your wellies, splash and have fun"
